The White-bearded Manakin is a common resident of forested areas on Trinidad. Males gather in communal leks near to the forest floor where the infrastructure exists to perform elaborate dances in order to attract a mate. Females are olive green and easily missed in the forest, however they are the drivers of sexual selection. It is not found on Tobago.
