The Trinidad Motmot is a fairly common resident of forested areas in T&T, however it is much easier to encounter this species on Tobago, where it also inhabits forest edge and other human-altered habitat. It is endemic to T&T. The Trinidad Motmot is an omnivore and feeds on a wide variety of fruits, berries, lizards, snakes, frogs, birds, and invertebrates.
