The Red-bellied Macaw is the smallest species of macaw on Trinidad. They are known to feed on the fruit of the moriche palm but also eat the fruits of other palms. While resident, there is seasonal movement in response to the availability of food. Red-bellied Macaws are not found on Tobago.
